We are a family-owned Sewing Machine business that has operated in Northern California and the Bay Area for more than 50 years. From a garage workshop in Fremont to now a full paint, restoration and repair service in Antioch, Twice Nice Sewing Machine Restorations is recognized for its high-quality products and top-notch customer service.

Tom Trebotich began doing simple sewing machine repairs for his wife Marge and her friends in their garage in Fremont. News quickly spread of Tom’s small business and as interest grew it wasn’t long before Tom expanded, not only repairing but restoring and reselling Singer Featherweights. Frequent quilt show vendors, the Twice Nice booth was familiar at shows from Eureka to Santa Cruz. Tom and Marge were well recognized and respected members of the sewing community.

Tom appreciated not only the beauty but the history and the manufacturing of Singer Sewing Machines and from that Tom began teaching his “Famous Singer Featherweight Maintance Class” that Dave proudly continues teaching today.

Marge still lives in the family home in Fremont and is active with her local quilt guild.

Years later Tom would ask his son Dave to join him and learn to repair and service sewing machines. Dave and his wife Marian began helping out in the booth at those weekend quilt shows and the “hook was set.”

Twice Nice Sewing Machine Restoration in Antioch was open for business.

We are proud to honor Tom and Marge in our commitment to continue their legacy and offer top quality Singer Featherweights for sale, service and paint restoration. We offer “Dave’s Famous Singer Featherweight Maintance Class” to introduce, share the history and demonstrate the simplicity and beauty of these wonderful sewing machines.
